1. What do you do every day to express your elective affinity with nature, with the plants on your balcony, with the flowers that grow in your terrace or the trees in your garden?
A lot of pigeons fly into the balcony of my house. They come in, they do dirty the place, leave back waste and feathers and lay eggs as well. But, the time when those eggs hatch is very beautiful and everyone in the house comes together to witness the event. And, so I don’t mind the dirtiness they create because those moments of the chicks being born is wonderful, and the full family together sees it happening, only because of the plants in the balcony. They are home to these pigeons, and that is why I feel attached to the plants on my balcony.
2. What is the plant that you like the most? Why you feel so attached to it?
Neem is my favourite plant. I feel so attached to it, because I have very fond memories of it. In my childhood years, my father and I would take walks in the orchards, and that is when, he used to chew on the bark of the neem plant as it has medicinal value, being good for the teeth. And, I would do the same. And those memories with my father keep me attached to the plant.
3.You’re leaving to a desert island and you can only take with you two things … and a plant. What would you put in your suitcase?
The two things would be – a family photograph and a smartphone. The smart phone not for connectivity purposes but, because I love to write and film. So, the two things are so selected, because the smart phone is for inspirational reasons and the family photograph for survival.
