I have never had an elective affinity for a particular plant since i have always considered nature as an entity, as the basis and as the beginning of all existing forms of life. Humans are weird animals, builders and they are organised in a pyramidal social system which sometimes makes them forget their fellows and their environment … In my opinion, this human organisation, with its industrialization, its money system and its greedy acts is stressful and intricate. I am part of this system and I often feel overwhelmed by it.
Nature has the magical strenght of being more complex than anything man could build and simultaneously of being so simply. This is what I feel when I am in contact with nature. It’s a deep breath which allows you to leave all your troubles behind you and enables you to live the instant in a plainly way.. Even if i’m not frequently within nature i know that it’s still here, near me. I just hope that this gift will be preserved, and that an inacessible rock full of strange and beautiful plants will be somewhere always bigger than men’s selfish utopies. It’s anyhow in my mind and this feeling comforts me. This is my refuge.
I was born in 1980 in France in a nice family. I’m never been a school lover, absent minded and dreamer, it was difficult for me to follow lessons, i’ve always prefered trying to draw than understanding mathemathics. Nevertheless i managed to do my best doing the minimum to have the regular diplôme in France called the « baccalauréat » in littérature with art option. Then i’ve been in an art school for 3 years to learn graphic design and illustration. I get my diplome and dreamed of being a comic book drawer (youth is fine but unrealstic). Then i’ve been one year in a multimedia school to learn stuff on computer. My first job was graphic designer for a e-learning company where i meet my actual associate. Together we found our own graphic design agency called Studio Bambam and we are happy to make logos, visual identities, brochures, illustrations, icons, website design, etc… After my work at Studio Bambam i try to make stuff for myself, illustrations, drawings, linocuts and other things to keep myself creative in a different way.
